Simalcrum checked into this bug to determine if Cube owners got forked up the ass with a big black spork from Nintendo's QA team, but as it turns out, the bug didn't happen, or quite simply, simalcrum didn't save and quit while in the middle of solving a puzzle that takes about 0.415 seconds to solve. You will want a back-up file from certain points of the game - like when you get irreversibly stuck from the rumoured 'Kakariko Sanctuary cannon room' very late in the game (after Temple of Time and some extra crap).
